Our new campaign is a nostalgic journey through time. From today’s perspective, it brings back styles and scenes from the late 1990s and early 2000s. The symbolic motif of a playground represents a space where first social connections are formed and childhood unfolds without the influence of the internet, evoking the millennial generation’s experiences. Archival recordings of children’s voices play in the background, echoing the imaginations of those who grew up in the 1960s and their visions of the future at the turn of the millennium. While children and teenagers in the 1960s anticipated radical, often unsettling changes tied to globalization and technological advancement, millennials now look back on the early 2000s with a sense of nostalgia, remembering a simpler, more carefree time. The film’s visuals and sounds, intentionally contrasted, invite personal reflection on how much of the childhood predictions from 1966 have materialized and how we, from today’s standpoint, perceive the reality of the early 2000s.
